How to Add LinkedIn Insight Tag to a Linkly Link
Get your LinkedIn Insight Tag
Log in to LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Go to Analyze → Insight Tag and copy your Insight Tag code. Your Partner ID is included in the code.
Create a new link in Linkly
Click Create New Link from the sidebar.
Set up your link
Enter your Nickname and Destination URL.
Expand Retargeting & tracking pixels
Click on this section to reveal the code input boxes.
Paste your LinkedIn Insight Tag in the Head Tags box
Paste the full tag code including the <script> tags.
Save your link
Click Save Link. When users click this link, the LinkedIn Insight Tag will fire before they're redirected.
Verify the tag is working
In LinkedIn Campaign Manager, go to Analyze → Insight Tag and check that your tag is showing as active. You can also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag Helper Chrome extension to debug.
Using Google Tag Manager
If you already have the LinkedIn Insight Tag configured in Google Tag Manager, you can use your existing GTM container instead of pasting the tag directly. Just enter your GTM Container ID in Linkly.
Creating Matched Audiences
Once your Insight Tag is collecting data, you can create matched audiences in LinkedIn Campaign Manager:
- Go to Plan → Audiences
- Click Create audience → Website
- Define your audience based on the URLs they visited (your Linkly links)
- Use this audience for retargeting campaigns
