What is automatic link replacement?

Automatic link replacement is process of automatically converting links on your site to Linkly links using Linkly's javascript snippet.

This is useful when:

• You have many links across a website, and replacing them would be laborious.
• You want to temporarily replace a link as part of an experiment.

How to Use Automatic Link Replacement

1. Click Create New Link from the menu.
2. Give the link a Nickname, Destination and any other link paramaters you would like to use.
3. Click on Automatic Link Replacements.
4. Make sure the Linkly javascript tags are installed on your site. Receive your workspace's personalised tag and installation instructions by clicking Linkly javascript tags.
5. In the URL List box, on each line, paste the exact URL of the links you want to replace.
6. Click Save Link.
7. Visit your website to confirm these links have become Linkly links.

Things to Note about Automatic Link Replacement

• Using this feature requires installation of the Linkly javascript tags. If it doesn't seem to be working, contact us and we'll check it for you.
• Linkly will replace the links you choose with Linkly links. If you want the destination to remain unchanged, copy the original link's destination into the Destination field of your Linkly link.
